Total War now heads to the Dark Ages and the Viking invasions with Medieval Total War Gold Edition. The Gold Edition of Medieval includes all the units and campaigns of the original plus the Viking Expansion pack, which expands the map, units and features. Most of these features also affect the general game and campaigns, also some of the factions that were not playable by the user are now available such as the Argonese, Hungarias and Scicilians. The viking expansion includes a brand new campaign, the historical background is 793. The campaign includes an expanded map of Britain and its isles. The goal of the viking invasion is to dominate all of Britain. Factions inside the island (Wessex Mercia, Scotland) have to defend themselves against the viking raiders and gain control of the islands. The downside of the game is that its already outdated and Medieval II has already been released. However, this is still a very worthy classic which was labeled at one time as the best game ever made. If you can get this game, it will be worth your money. |
